This program provides a college and career preparation curriculum to selected 10th grade students to help them complete the tasks necessary as rising 11th grade students and during their 11th and 12th grade year of high school to prepare for their post-high school career and education goals. This includes ongoing support for employability skills (i.e. resume), applications for university, college and/or technical college, scholarship applications and financial aid and ACT/SAT preparation and much more through a variety of workshops and weekly support.
The students accepted into the program commit to achieve the established benchmarks over a two-year period. Once a part of the CCP program, and demonstrating positive participation, eligible public school students have additional opportunities to earn a 2-year State College Tuition Scholarship.
These scholarships cover tuition for two years at the state public college rate at a Prepaid College Foundation approved institution. Eligibility for these scholarships is only made available for enrolled CCP students, who are in good standing.
The eligibility requirements for these programs can be found on the attached addendum.
